Goold Diary, entry for November 23, 1863
Annotation
Goold refers earlier edition in his diary, however this edition is substantially the same. Goold also owned a later edition that was given to him by the author, now in the MDHC archives. Although Goold refers to reading the work in 1863 it was not recorded on the inventory.
